Our destination is Chelmsford, the County Town of Essex, 45km north-east of London in the heart of gentle, rolling English countryside. The town is big enough for the students to enjoy a variety of activities during their stay whilst being small enough not to get lost.
On Day 1 we fly from Stuttgart to London-Stansted. From there it’s a 40 minute bus trip to central Chelmsford bus station where the children are met by their host families who look forward to welcoming them into their own homes – making it a home away from home.
From Day 2, lessons take place in the morning and the afternoons are reserved for joint recreational activities. Full-day trips to London and the University town of Cambridge allow us plenty of time for sightseeing and for learning about some of the history and culture of world famous sights as well as some time for shopping too. Weekends are spent with the host families who organize suitable activities with and for the children and/or teens.
Our English teachers, Conny von Scholley and Mary Conlon-Förster, look after your children throughout the whole trip. They put the safety and welfare of your children first. They aim to be attentive at all times and make sure that everyone is happy.
Good host families are crucial to the success of language trips abroad. Our host families have been carefully selected and many have worked with us for a long time and many of them often have children of their own. We know them and we know their homes, so you can rest assured that your child is in good hands.
